Dhaka: The librarian of Investigation Agency of International Crimes Tribunal, Md Anisur Rahman, on Tuesday testified against Jamaat leader Mir Quasem Ali before a special tribunal dealing with war crimes cases.

Anisur, testifying as the 23rd prosecution witness against Quasem, said the investigation officer Md Nurul Islam had visited his workplace at Dhanmondi in the city on April 19, 2013.

ICTDuring his visit, he said, the IO seized photocopies of page no 297 to 302 of a book titled ‘Bangalir Muktijuddher Etibritto’ written by Mahbub-Ul Alam and page no 36 to 40 of another book ‘Sei Somoy Anando Bedonai’ written by advocate Shofiul Alam.

As his testimony ended, Quasem’s lawyer cross examined him.

On completion of the cross-examination, prosecutor Zaed Al Malum told the tribunal that their next witness would be the IO himself, who would be the last prosecution witness against Quasem.
