BSF kills Bangladeshi in Damurhuda border

Damurhuda borderDhaka (newsnextbd.com): A cattle trader was shot dead by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel near the Munshipur border area under Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district around 5 am on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Ahad Ali (32), son of Ayub Ali from Kutubpur village of the upazila.

Nazmul Alam, the commander of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) camp in Munshipur, said, Ahad Ali along with some other cattle traders infiltrated into the Indian territory nearby the main pillar no. 3 in the Munshipur border area.

When they were returning to Bangladesh after buying cattleheads in India, the jawans of a BSF petrol from Mahakhol camp shot at them, leaving Ahad dead on the spot, while his companions fled the scene, added the BGB commander.

He further said that the preparation for a BGB-BSF flag meeting demanding the return of the body was going on.
