BSF picks up two Bangladeshi cattle traders in Lalmonirhat

Lalmonirhat (newsnexrbd.com) – Indian Border Security Force on Sunday picked up two Bangladeshi nationals at Shamshernagar in northern Patgram upazila of the district.

The Bangladeshi nationals were handed to India’s Mathabhanga police station after they were arrested early in the morning, BGB officials.

Sahidul Islam,40, son of Edul Miah and Abdul Latif.35, son of Sadek Ali both are residence at Shamsernagar village of the upazila were taken into Indian custody when they were waiting for Indian cattle on the zero line, local people said.

BGB Patgram Company Camp commander Jonal Ali said, the two Bangladeshi persons were caught by Indian people, and they were handed over to Falakata BSF camp.

The BGB sent a letter to BSF protesting the arrest of Bangladeshis and asked for their immediate release, Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Shafiul Alam Khan said.
