Chittagong: One person was killed when three compartments of a Chittagong-bound passenger train were derailed in Mirsarai of the district Monday afternoon.
Officer-in-charge of Mirsarai police station confirmed the matter.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Station manager of Chittagong Railway Station, said that three compartments of Karnafuli Express derailed in Mirsarai around 1pm.
The rescue train has been sent to clear the line.
