Dhaka – Miscreants allegedly strangled an unidentified young woman, 20, at Gerua area near Jahangirnagar University at Savar upazila at the outskirts of the capital.
The dead body was recovered by Ashulia thana police on Sunday noon.
The locals informed Ashulia thana police when they saw the dead body of the woman by the side of a cultivated paddy field at about 2pm.
On information police recovered the body and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Ashulia thana sub inspector Ruhul Amin.
A murder case is underway to be filed, added Ruhul Amin.
